A bad night. Sitting in a cold bathroom for over an hour around 1.30am and again at 6 was no fun.

We have been continuously afflicted throughout the day and we feel worse than yesterday. Maybe we ate too much dry toast. Whatever. We are sick of it. Day 6 for me. We rang the surgery but they said they can’t do anything till the test results come. I explained that if we have Guardia the parasite is unlikely to get detected as it doesn’t live long outside the body but they just repeated what they’d said already - it would be holiday bug and would go on its own.

My main concern is that it is looking very unlikely that we’ll make it to Kirkcaldy crematorium for the service at 11am tomorrow. I so wanted to be there for Jenny, my oldest friend. The current plan is we’ll get up at 6.30am and see how we are. It’s a 6 hour round trip, given that we’ll hit the by-pass at rush hour.
