Some of Prague’s history
Woke up to dropped temperatures but blue sky and no more snow. The compacted ice made walking a challenge. Some youngsters walked passed me and I think they were mimicking me and my short step penguin walk but I really didn’t mind. I wanted to stay upright. Then, 2 of them fell over which made me privately laugh. :-))
We headed over to the ‘Jewish Quarter’. Visited a synagogue and solemnly the memorial wall. I will never forget the sea of names. So so many. Will add extras. And visited to the Jewish graveyard - so small and so packed, there are apparently some plots with 10-12 people buried on top of one another over time.
We took a venicular up to a viewing point and back down again, bought more street food and wandered more and then made our way via collecting our luggage to the airport. Very grateful for our flight leaving as scheduled as there were a number going to other countries that were cancelled due to the snow there.
Home eventually, by 9pm and boys and animals seem ok. Phew.
A blessed weekend.
