Progress

T the plumber came today to install the new hot water tank in readiness for the radiator heating system being installed next week.  He is a very impressive, meticulous worker.  He even plastered the gib (plaster) board behind the tank, as the plasterer hadn’t done it because of being ill with food poisoning.  He will come back on Tuesday or Wednesday to disconnect the gas and hook up the electricity, otherwise we wouldn’t have had hot water at all.

J the plasterer turned up today and finished the first “coat”. He’ll be back tomorrow to do the second coat.  He’s a very personable young man and a good plasterer, just not very good at communicating.

We did Christmas cards, posted the Australian ones, I caught up with all my computer admin and my blip journals, read and deleted emails and generally had a productive day.  MrMacD even found time to plant some portulaca plants, which I love.

We went to a volunteer thank you event from 5pm until 6:15pm, which was fun.  We are starting to make more connections.


The new hot water tank is an impressive beast.
