They've finished ....

.... and it feels much cleaner and brighter.  You can see how grubby the ceiling (in particular) was in this photo.  Amazing how different the house looks for just 2 days work!  We've booked the second phase for February/March.

They've been great.  They even cleaned the light fitting whilst up the ladder painting - though, like many other parts of this house, it will need a couple of cleans to get the nicotine staining off it.  They returned the furniture to the room, and put back up the cupboard.  They couldn't put the blinds back up, the paint wasn't quite dry enough.

This picture was taken before the final coat - our painters had nipped off to another job rather than sit around watching paint dry.

It's always fun watching other people work, but we haven't had a totally lazy day - we planted grasses and crocus bulbs in the area between the pond and the patio. 

Now W is cooking a lovely smelling curry.
