The light shines in the darkness ...

… and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5). 

I haven’t been out at all today, and it was dark before I knew it, so I have resorted to a photo of our nativity scene, which sits on our hall window sill. I love walking through the hall on dark evenings and seeing the candles lit for the benefit of passers by, and the nativity scene lit for us indoors by the light in the stable, and the tiny lamps held by Joseph and one of the shepherds.

I’ve spent most of the day writing Christmas cards, so the photo fits in beautifully with my mood.
