Winter walk
A mostly wet, but a milder, day. We managed a short walk when the rain abated briefly this afternoon. Here is a view looking westwards towards Yew Hill. I spent some time today catching up on personal correspondence, and looking online at a planning application for development of a local disused army camp. It's incredibly difficult to access all the documents in the City Council's Local Plan, and then decide whether the planning application meets the requirements of the Local Plan. There is a lot of local opposition because of the likely increase in road traffic and disturbance of wildlife on the site, but it seems unrealistic to think the site won't get developed at all. There's so much pressure to develop the land around here, so it's important to make sure whatever is built is what we really need, and is done sympathetically and sustainably.
