Oats and beans and barley grow

Sunday is my baking day.   today,   Nigella's Breakfast  bars, and these.  Oatcakes. 

We bought oatcakes (i think I mentioned in an early blip) from a Farmers Market  a month or so ago.  At the time I said, "It's can't be that difficult....  It wasn't.  And there are few enough ingrediients for me to know that it needed less Bicarb and  more butter.   

But the taste is fine and I will happily experiment until I get a taste I really like and a consistency which is correct. 

I also started a starter. ...  Lets see if I can not kill this this time. 

You notice I skipped  through the Breakfast bars.  They are okay I suppose   Dates, Sunflowers seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Oats, Chia seeds., flax seeds.   It tastes Datey and Oaty and Seedy.  Which is probably correct
