St Katherine Cree
I heard beautiful singing coming from a church I work near so popped my head in to have a nose and stumbled across a group of singers doing choir practice. Not only was the singing beautiful but so was the inside of the church.
There certainly is something about the acoustics of voices singing in a church, I could have happily sat there all lunchtime listening.
This is St Katherine Cree a Grade 1 listed building and according to Wikipedia is a Church of England church that escaped the great fire of London and had minimal damage in the London Blitz in the Second World War.
It is the only church that has a tower in the City where the bells are rung from a ground floor ringing chamber.
