Make Hay....

Even when the sun doesn't shine!

The meadow that my 'butter wouldn't melt' dog posed in yesterday, has been cut for hay today.

Talking of the dog, she let herself down badly today... She ate a huge amount of diced gammon that I had thought was out of her reach and about 50 grams of butter. Subsequently she was very thirsty which in turn resulted in a huge puddle in the kitchen while I was working at the pub!!

The gammon was intended for a pie for tomorrow's picnic at Royal Ascot. I had to go and buy another joint of gammon this afternoon, cook it and dice it before I could make the pie!!

Hat and comfy shoes at the ready.... Bring it on!!
