It Was A Cold And Frosty Morning.......

....and afternoon.

We went for a food pick up this morning. I had to come off the motorway and take a very indirect route so that I could stop (several times) so that I could clean the windscreen. Why do washer bottle additives not stop the fluid from freezing any more? .... it was only -2C.
Still, the horrible trip was worth it - It took took fully laden trollies to get the donation to the car. When we dropped the stuff off we were speaking to another volunteer who had collected dozens and dozens of canned drinks from another store last night. Maybe the bollocking that was passed out the other day is filtering down to the stores.

SWMBO and I had a drive through the loveliness that is the middle of nowhere when there has been a hard hoar frost to have an excellent afternoon tea at The Scottish Tea House.
I didn't stop to take as many pictures as I would have liked due to time constraints .... not helped by the marvellously inefficient Lanarkshire Highways Department who closed roads without giving any warnings or advance Diversion signs. Not helpful on very narrow country roads.
We got there in time though. Just as well we didn't come across the debacle which took us in a large circle and back to the start point on our way home.
