The Beale family..

… who lived at Standen House, the house and gardens having been created in the 1890s for James and Margaret Beale. The house ‘is one of the finest examples of the Arts & Crafts with Morris & Co interiors of the period.’

A beautiful home and a lovely day time here today with long- time friends, our time over coffee and lunch equalling our time looking round the house.

Tomorrow we’re making a short but overnight visit to Yeovil. We3 will go down later in December to celebrate Valerie’s birthday with her. Lots of planning and possibilities discussed yesterday via Zoom.
