My wife and I seem to be having a delayed response to the midges we encountered in Aberfoyle yesterday. It's only this morning that the bites from the little blighters have started itching, but so far I'm just about winning the battle of wills.

This subject was on her way to instruct an exercise class and just looked so unusual against this Edinburgh side-street. She even managed to persuade me to have a shot on one of these hoops, at which I was disturbingly good. But I won't be rushing off to sign up.
