My Painted Lady

this is a painted lady that I have raised from a caterpillar. When I first got it it was very small, about 0.5cm. Within 2 weeks it was around 5cm long, then it pupated for about 10 days and hatched out this morning. As it was a warm day I let it go in the garden and hoped it would get away before the chickens saw it.

Lovely day today and I hope that continues as I am packing again to go back to the quarry. two more days over there staying in the workers block. This is my last visit this year, I think!

I probably will have no big machines to show you as I am working outside the secondary area again. But you can see all sorts over there so you never know what will appear. I will blip again in a couple of days as there is no wifi available while I am there.
