Bunch of smashers

Over fifty members of New Age Fitness in Coatbridge took part in a 4 hour continuous super circuit this morning to raise money for Maggie's. By the time they started their total was sitting at over £5,000 which is amazing. The challenge was 20 mins each of queenax, spin class and fitness class - times 4. Gruelling! Himself and I had the pleasure of going along to represent Maggie's and to cheer them on.

This afternoon I played in the Henderson Bishop playdown at the ice rink. The winners go on to represent Lanarkshire in the women's national competition. Unfortunately it won't be us this time. Most years we have two teams qualify but not this year. We did manage to win our semi final. When the match ended in a peel we had to draw the shot which means each team has one stone and whoever is closest to the button wins. In the final we were outplayed by Libby and her team who were deserved winners. We will all be cheering them on in the finals in February.
