Full day

Over to the market in the morning, but no Pie Dolly so D rather disappointed. Then up town to the museum to meet up with D's erstwhile (Hull) colleague Solange and her chums who were in town for some sort of course/conference (never did clarify that). They eventually arrived (having been taken on a visit to the 'Fire Museum' in MacDonald Road - who knew?) and we showed them Dave's lioness and lots of ancient bone-y things. Had a fleeting glimpse of Mary Queen of Scots, but then had to guide them back to the station, via the Grassmarket where they'd left their luggage (who knew?).

By the time we'd parted we had to get on a tram and go straight to Katy and Ian's by Junction bridge - very nice post-Thanksgiving drinks and nibbles and an unexpected catch-up with Dervilla and John.

I liked the way the moon and the clock on the Tron appeared about the same size here. (And always love that glimpse of the sea in the distance....)
