Malt Shovel

Earlier in the day I went across to the Dean Gardens to buy some of their calendars - the traffic was dreadful, congestion in all directions. Is it Black Friday, or some such boll*x?

Later we went up to the Malt Shovel in Cockburn St to meet up with some of Dave's pals from Inchcolm. We had much blether, beer and fish and chips (which apparently the MS have been serving since 1860!). It was extremely busy, but the service was very efficient. I found myself staring at the malt shovel on the back wall and remembering that when I was a tiny tot I witnessed a brewery man actually using one for its correct purpose, in the malting room that they still had at the brewery.
