Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Having spotted the 'Leaf people' on blip yesterday (Trixie), I decided to go and find them myself today. I checked on the map, and knew roughly where they were.

Well, it's a whole big area of the Psychiatric Hospital, with gardens and roads and buildings and no signs to the Community Garden. But I just kept asking folk.

As we walked along under some trees, I stepped between some tree roots, only it was a hole, with a few leaves on top. Whooops! Fortunately, I wasn't hurt as I landed on a pile of leaves. Archie looked startled.

The Community Garden when we eventually found it, was lovely. The gate appeared to be locked, so o stood there for a while, and was about to ask the chap standing nearby if I could come in. (Extra) There were lots of 'leaf people' in all sorts of poses, but these are definitely the best ones. I was very tempted to swap hats with her…

We got the bus back, and after watching Professor Hannah Fry explaining the genius of vacuum cleaners, I dozed for the rest of the afternoon. Absolutely stuffed. Both of us.

JR had gone into town for a long lunch with ex-colleagues.
