Hairy Caterpillar

I don't know what kind of caterpillar this is, but it is certainly a hairy, and rather beautiful one. I tried googling it but couldn't find any information on this one.
It's been an overcast but warm day today. The dogs outing to the Bark Park was cancelled so I took them to the common where they had a good run around.
Otherwise it's been a pottering around the garden, and doing odd jobs around the house day!
Daughter Penni in New York has Covid - sad as she had to cancel the Thanksgiving dinner she was having and a friend's birthday celebration. She loves entertaining so it was a disappointment. When I spoke to her yesterday she wasn't sounding good, so hopefully after a few days rest she will be better.
