Rest
We packed and had some breakfast, stripped the beds and emptied the bins, then left our cosy flat and walked up to the station for the train back to MK. Quite a lot colder this morning….and I’m sure it will be colder still when I get back to Edinburgh.
Managed to hop on a fast train just in time so were back in K’s kitchen just over an hour after leaving the flat, and settled down to coffee and the Christmas bun we’d picked up in Gail’s bakery as we walked to the station…they’re delicious!
We were both feeling tired so wrote some lists, dealt with some emails, put laundry on and generally chilled a bit before doing some shopping for K’s Sunday lunch entertaining.
Later we walked down the back path to the shop for some sausages for supper since T is joining us on his way to work so he can drop off a mattress for K from P’s house. The trees were glowing in the late afternoon sun and looking lovely, and it was good to get some fresh air although it was still very nippy.
We chatted to T over supper …his work schedule is awful at this time of year and I don’t know how he does it.
We’ve had a pretty lazy day after our non-stop few days in London!
