It has been a very cold but sunny day today. At 5pm it is already down to 2c and the farmer has just been up our road with the gritter! I managed to get the grass cut for hopefully the last time until the Spring this afternoon and noticed that my Ceanothus (Californian Lilac) has several flowers on it, which is totally out of season. 
At lunchtime I popped in to the Community Garden on my walk back home from the village and the heather is just starting to come out. It is going to look really lovely soon.
