2023 Thursday — A Day of Thanks
Happy Thanksgiving. This has been a good day for us. A day when we acknowledged the grace and forgiveness God has given us.
Our daughter is here with us. Our son is in southern Oregon and we hope to see him during the twelfth month.
This morning we started converting the backyard to a December Christmas theme — focusing on flowers not food is our goal.
Late this afternoon we watched as the sun descended into the cloud shrouded horizon; then we enjoyed our holiday dinner, which was delicious.
Mr. Fun cooked the turkey breast. I prepared the dressing/stuffing (it did stuff us), mashed potatoes & gravy, asparagus sautéed in unsalted butter with garlic cloves, sourdough rosemary rolls (they are low in sodium), cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie with cream.
When our stomachs were more than full, we lingered at the dining room table for a long time enjoying table fellowship.
