Busy day

The sun was shining and it was a crisp autumn morning so I did a few hours in the garden.  Tidying up, weeding and cutting back.  I think I have another 6 or 7 days if I do half a border a day!  

OH was finishing off little job in the shower room which involved dust and mes and a bit of plastering.  He finished off and after lunch went off for osteopath appointment to sort his neck out.

I wanted to do some sewing and finish my quilt but sorted out a box of sewing stuff that had come from MIL house.  Assorted threads and bits and pieces (a magnet - will come in handy when I drop pins!).  I found some lovely wooden cotton reels - shame they are all plastic now and some thread to repair tights and stockings?!  Sign of the times  (a) I hardly wear tights any more, usually trousers/leggings and (b) wouldn’t bother to repair anyway!

I did an hour of sewing and finished my quilt but need to watch another you tube tutorial to master the binding - think some unpicking will be happening!

Conversation with No,1 about Christmas presents - she doesn’t want any?!
