Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 291

This picture was taken at 2145 this evening on a cloudy but warm Portobello midsummer night. I was on my way back from an excellent concert in The Usher Hall. I was hoping to catch the evening light on Promenade but the cloud diffused that this evening. No doubt there will be other chances before my year's challenge is over at the end of August. The cycling dog owner was exercising his dog beside the Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home at the westerly end of the promenade. The young couple enjoying their romantic evening stroll were Polish. Polish is frequently spoken in Portobello. Polish is the second most commonly spoken language in the UK according to the 2011 Census.
