Hard Work.

Busy Sunday! M slept late while I snuck out to buy some breakfasty things for a Full Scottish (minus the black pudding). I woke M when it was ready, and we ate outside in the sun which was already scorching. Once we were full, we decided to head down to Balnagask to play a game of golf; I played less well than usual (we had a full game at Hazlehead yesterday and I did much better - how frustrating) but it was so nice and warm it didn't matter.

We drove to the beach at lunchtime for an ice cream (we were too full of breakfast to have anything else), then went home. M wanted to do a bit of welding, so I mowed the grass in the back garden. Phew, hard work. I had to have a lie-down afterwards!

After a quick shower and change, M's Dad gave me a lift into town for afternoon tea and cocktails in teapots with H, her Mum and her other friend M. We went to Atheneum, and the cocktails were lovely - and the sandwiches and cakes very yummy. We retired to Revolution to sit outside in the sun with a few more cocktails. A lovely afternoon catching up and giggling!

I'm back on the sofa now with a tonic and cucumber, ready for the 2nd episode of the new French Drama, The Returned. Bliss!
