Life is a Challenge!

WHAT A SPOILSPORT!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You will have heard the saga of the fence that Storm Debi took down earlier in the week, so we were all very excited when we knew that Alan and his mate, Dave, were coming to re-erect it this morning.  Yesterday was a lovely day with blue sky and sunshine, but wouldn’t you just know it - today is rainy and horrible.

However, Alan and Dave still turned up at 9 o’clock ready to do the job.  They had a cup of coffee first and then set to work.

We were hoping to go out and help them, but Alan said that (a) we needed training before we could work with him and (b) there were rather too many of us and he thought we would get in the way.  We promised him we wouldn’t and that we would do anything he asked us, but Mrs. HCB had the last word (doesn’t she always?) and said we must do what Alan said - what a spoilsport!

We told Alan that we were good at digging - you remember we made lots of sandcastles a couple of weeks ago - but he said that wasn’t quite enough, so reluctantly, we had to stay indoors.

We decided if we couldn’t go out then the next best thing was to watch through the conservatory window, so we all piled on and here we are.  We let the little ones sit in the front and promised Alan and Dave that we would just watch - however, whenever they got a post in the ground, we all shouted “HOORAY”, which I think surprised them, but we do like to encourage people.

Hopefully by the end of today, the fence will be back up and Mr. & Mrs. HCB will feel safe again.

Thanks Alan and Dave - you are stars and we know that Mr. & Mrs. HCB will be forever in your debt - not literally of course, because they will pay you!!

Hope you all have a great weekend and that the sun is shining somewhere - and remember BE KIND - you never know what those you meet are going through.

Love to you all from
The Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  We hope that Hoggy has found a nice warm spot now he has hibernated - there are certainly lots of leaves down from the trees, so they will make a soft bed for him.

P.P.S.  At 11.45 the fence is back up - see extra shot - and Alan is just attaching it to the posts.  What a pair!!
