New family on the pond!!

A quick visit to the pond after delivering a birthday card which I forgot to post last week.

A new family have arrived. This is the hen with two of her three ducklings.

Dad is very different, not sure what breed they originate from. The "Pompom" on top of the head is caused by a genetic mutation.

I need to do more searching for details, but if anyone can tell me more I would be most obliged!!

The Canada goose family are thriving well, all babies present and correct.
