Old & new

A city tour to see the main sights before being dropped off in the Grande Place to do our own thing. A cup of coffee and a waffle provided enough energy to walk for the next 4 hours. Some cultural, some historical and some plain old shops with the same tat that you get at home.

Impression - there has been a lot of money spent and being spent on construction of EU buildings and infrastructure since we were there 12 years ago!!

Interesting to note that in the city centre the only uniformed police we saw were 2 mounted police, 2 policemen guarding a synagogue and a copper checking the documents of three street traders.
