Something New

Yesterday, I wished for something new in the garden. Chaffinches, although not unheard of and by no means rare, are a fairly uncommon visitor, so it was nice to see this one come in. It would be even better, if he brought one (or more) of his friends, the Bramblings, which are starting to appear, although not in great numbers. There are reports of at least 22 Waxwings in one of their regular haunts in the city.
