Black, White, Grey and Red

Today is our last day on this trip to Norfolk. The weather forecast was not good, but in order to make the best of the day, we caught a bus to Holkham, and set off at a leisurely pace in the opposite direction to yesterday - towards Wells. Despite the mist, poor visibility and occasional light rain, there was plenty around to see, including quite a selection of raptor including Marsh Harrier, Buzzard and Red Kite (see extras for a distant but “atmospheric" shot). According to reports, we narrowly missed a White-tailed Sea Eagle too! There were lots of sightings of Jays and we also saw a Muntjac and a Brown Hare. It was this Pied Wagtail that gave me the best chance of a decent shot, along with a Grey Heron also in extras. Once we reached Wells we decided to catch the bus back to the cottage for a late lunch. When we got off the bus it was rain quite heavily, but shortly after getting indoors, the heavens really opened, and we were really glad to be inside..
