So peaceful here

A balmy November day without any apparent movement to stir the air or the water. The two remaining leaves at the tip of these branches hung motionless. 

It's very hard to grasp the anguish and devastation elsewhere in the world when contemplating this safe harbour.

because Gazans have been skilled weavers for centuries


I wondered then 
how many of our wounds
have been dressed
because of them


and how many of theirs
have been left open because of us
