I like this South Bank Christmas decoration highlighted against the angular roof tops of the City across the river. The area between London Bridge station and the Tower of London is full of lights and sculptures.  There is a Christmas market along the Thames, doing a brisk trade in hot chocolate in the drizzle this afternoon.

I noticed the potential of this area yesterday evening when we went to see Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre. What a high energy, exciting production. It's been running, on and off, for a couple of years but doesn't seem to have lost any freshness or enthusiasm.
