Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Cleo TV!

Cleo indulged in her favourite activity today, watching the birds while chirping at them all the while through the window! We were invaded by around 20 bluetits this morning, the feeders were hooching! In amongst the crowd was a solitary great tit, a robin, and, patrolling the lawn nearby, the ever present pigeon there to pick up the fallen seeds.
I went over to Ali's for the morning as the builder was there doing a couple of small jobs for her.
When I got home, Colin's car was ready to be collected having been in for a service and MOT. We headed down to Restalrig to pick it up. Neither of us had had any lunch, so after failing to find anywhere in Broughton Street, we headed to Herringbone - one of the many former public conveniences in Edinburgh which has been transformed into a restaurant. This one is on London Road and It's part it a couple of things without stopping. We really enjoyed our lunch, I had a bowl of soup -sweet potato, coconut and lime, and Colin a trout salad both delicious. We intend going back when we have more time.
The rest of the day disappeared as days do, this evening we watched episode 1 of Shetland.
