Apples and Oranges

I promised to post a photo of the felt cacti created at work, and here they are. :) I figured you'd rather see those than what my chore for today was: removing lice...
I really need a day off from that on Friday. Especially since another large plant I've had behind my back (and in my hair and face...) while working on the lemon tree, also has lice. I pointed out to my boss this morning that the large plant behind me looks a bit not happy... shabby and sticky. My boss asked if it was time for the compost, and I quickly turned to the plant and told it that that wasn't what I meant. My boss laughed and told me that threats mostly gets the plants to perk up a bit. Like mentioning the compost or moving it towards the entrance to this room. We had a bit of a laugh. But, she agreed with me and examined the plant further when she'd moved it away from where I was working (to give me more space) and it has the same kind of lice as the lemon tree and I volunteered to continue with that one too. I did start with a couple of leaves so it would 'see' that we've noticed it and it too will get help. No wonder it was poking me in the back. ;)
Then I and another of the bosses went to pick up work shoes for me. I was so happy! It was difficult, though, because my feet are really sensitive and even if a pair feels nice in the beginning, my feet starts to complain after a while. Fingers crossed they will like these shoes. I do, at least! They are kind of like a pair of boots, with support for the ankle. I need that because I often twist my ankles and as I took them for a test walk in the park, I felt safer on my feet than ever.
I also helped a customer in-between everything, and took out some more of the honey jars to put on our large table. It's filling up nicely with Christmas things, and I want to buy one of each!.
