Late shot
I normally take the camera out early in the morning, as you know, but with Christmas beginning to peep over the hill I decided today to go out as the sun was setting - besides it was foul this morning, and the sun only came out later in the day.
So here is the sky above Cheney Court just inside the cathedral's Inner Close, at about 4.30pm The silhouetted branch is part of a rather decrepid magnolia tree. Cheney Court used to be where the Bishop judged various sinners. I loved the underlit clouds, also the two chimneypots standing slightly to the left of the shot. They reminded me of a rather stiff couple who were either a) just married and posing for a 19th century photographer, or b) holding hands as they prepared to jump off the roof ;))
Thanks for all your kind and useful comments on yesterday's heron. Hope your day's been a good one xx
