A welcome ale

It's been a frustrating day today. One of our wardrobe doors has come off its runners and when we got it down we found  one of the runners was broken. We've had this wardrobe years and have spent a lot of time sifting through old papers to see if we can find the make, as there's no label on the wardrobe itself. Trying to fit a replacement for a broken toilet seat hasn't gone well either and the downstairs radiators have not been warming up at all. Oh yes and I tried to rehang a picture that had fallen off my daughter's bedroom wall only for the frame to fall apart later this evening! I'm not a natural DIY-er which today's events have made very clear. So, one of the ales from the pack I bought at the farmer's market in Woking yesterday was a very welcome and tasty balm after such a frustrating day. The brewery is a one man operation in Walton-upon-Thames, called Engine River Brew Co., operating out of two former shipping containers. The brewer was at the market with his son and doing a brisk trade, helped no doubt by the free tasters he was offering.
