Fit together

It was one of those days.

Elbows and I went to a gathering that was celebrating 30plus years of ‘Sal’s football’ in Oakwood Park. The kids went there every Saturday morning, week after week, whatever the weather, for years and years, until our youngest was too old. Sal taught them all football, by shouting and ensuring they were caked in mud. Sal remembers saying to a little Dot.T, who was crying because she was hurt, “the thing is with crying Dorothy, is that all it does is make your face wet”! :-)) It was a rough tough football field.

We didn’t stay long as we both then took MightyMouse to St Albans to compete in the National Schools Cross Country race.
It was a tough course. He came 38th out of over 80 so that was cool. Whilst we were there, my niece brought her 2 littlies over to meet us. That was brief but lovely time.

Once he’d run, we rushed him off to the station to catch a train into London for the teens conference ‘Sorted’.

We rushed back again so that Elbows could take some American guests to watch the Arsenal play and win. I grabbed a chance to do a lido swim with Coops which was great.

Back quickly for a shop and supper and cook for tomorrow and the day was done and it fitted together. :-)
