Blue Skies over Edinburgh

I met up this morning with only one of the Merry Widows for Sunday coffee. Our other Merry Widow was off galavanting somewhere, neither of us could quite remember where it was this time.
With our deep discussion of world affairs it is a wonder we are not invited to take part on the Laura Kuenssberg Sunday hour…….. well, maybe not!

It was not a day to spend inside, not while the sky was blue and the sun shone on the world. It certainly was cold but how lovely it was to scuff through the leaves lying thick and dry on the paths in the Meadows and look up to the sky through those still fluttering to earth. The whole world seemed to be out taking advantage of the weather. There were couples walking hand in hand, babies being pushed in prams, toddlers being pushed on tiny bikes, dogs trying to meet other dogs while on the end of long leads and always the students kicking balls about in random games on the grass.
This might just be the last day of unfettered sunshine for a while as yet more storms awaiting names are out in the Atlantic biding their time.
