Metal And Glass Gates.

We are very fortunate to live in our house which is illuminated by the sun from sunrise to sunset every day of the year. This assumes that the sun is not hidden by clouds.

Today’s entry shows sunlight illuminating the entrance door and shows the inner gates in shadow. The inner gates were rescued from a demolition skip about 25 years ago.

Pat stripped the metalwork of all paint and debris before refinishing them and highlighting the detail which I have shown in the extra photograph.

The gates did come from the building of a religious order which was being demolished.
