And now one of Madison

With my big foot in it. She’ll be 1 on Wednesday which is one of the reasons we’re in California.

Nice to go out in a November afternoon sunshine in shirts sleeves. Beautiful skies as we were walking back home with shopping from Ralphs.

It’s been a long old day. Awake and up at 6.00am, sneaked out for a coffee at around 10.45 and spent the afternoon at a birthday party at a neighbour’s son.

Great fun with the children playing outside as we would have done 60 years ago. Bikes, scooters, races on office chairs, basketball, a game of tic tac toe (noughts and crosses) played with beakers where the competitors had to race to and fro to pick up their beaker and place it on the grid. Not so easy as on a piece of paper.

Everyone adored Madison. She lapped up the attention. The afternoon ended with a Mexican traditional called Piñata https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piñata as you can see from the extras candy was scattered everywhere. A bit of a sugar rush tonight for the kids
