VETERAN'S DAY 2

Since today is Veteran's Day in the U.S. I shall share a couple more photos from Friday's program at our local high school.

This is our high school bandmaster.  She had the troops in fine form for the series of patriotic numbers they played during the program.  She actually has a minor in biology and was a student teacher of mine many years ago...in biological studies.  She's an exceptionally good teacher and always gets the most out of the talent she inherits.  We are lucky to have her on our small faculty.

Extra:  At the conclusion of the program, the students exit the bleachers and shake the hands of the local veterans thanking them for their service. It's a wonderful thing...especially for some students who will shake the hands of their parents or grandparents.
