VETERAN'S DAY

Every year, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Veteran's Day is celebrated in the U.S.  Our little school puts on a marvelous program for all our local veterans of all branches of military service.

The high school choir sings motivational songs, several students read motivational poems, the senior band plays selected patriotic arrangements and we have a local veteran speak to the students.

At the close of the ceremonies, the entire audience rises and shakes the hands of all the veterans in attendance and thanks them for their service.  Following dismissal, the high school culinary classes serves a meal to the veterans and their spouses.

It's MonoMonday and the theme is remembrance.  Veteran's Day is all about that...lest we forget!
