Sally Mair - Loving life

Winter rasps

I slept well last night, back in my own bed for the first time in almost 3 weeks. Sadly I woke at 5. 30. The cats were pleased though as they had an early breakfast.
We spent much of the day moving more furniture getting ready for the carpet clean on Sunday. I do hope the result is worth all the effort.
Katy came round with croissants this morning which was lovely. Much as I adore my grandchildren, it is nice to spend time with our daughters without them.
I did some shopping this afternoon and picked up a couple of my winter essentials from M&S - heat gen polonecks. From October to March or April I am never out without one on as a base layer!
Colin's sister dropped in this afternoon on her way to the airport. She dropped off their car which we are buying from them. A five year old golf, much better than our current 10 and 12 year old cars and much better looked after by our OCD brother in law!. One of the cars is going to Ali and the seventeen year old golf plus is looking for a new owner. I doubt if we'll get much for it though. It's built like a tank and drives really well, but its body work is not very good. Having said that it's got 11 months MOT and is okay to drive in the LEZ so someone may snap it up as a bargain. Otherwise it will be "we buy any car" I fear.
Ali and Josie popped round briefly too, lovely to see them both.
My Blip today is our raspberries, I know I've mentioned them before but I by thought I'd just show how well they are doing as their second crop in mid November in Scotland.
