How Many Men Does It Take …

To change out a sink faucet? In this instance, it takes three. Hubby picked up the new sink faucet and arranged for Parker to install it. Everything was removed from under the sink and Parker began the process. While removing the old fixture, Parker found that one bolt had completely rusted in half. Our home is really not that old; this shouldn’t have happened. Things went well with the disconnect phase. Once he put the new fixture in place, Parker realized the connectors were not compatible. Hubby called our BIL who was on “stand by” to advise/assist. Guess this happens all the time. As soon as he and my son returned from fishing, he picked up new parts and stopped by to instruct Parker how to fix the situation. We were back in business in no time. Parker really wants to be a tradesman. These easy jobs are giving him an idea of what plumbers do. Our BIL may take him to others that are not as pleasant so he can experience the good and the bad. Hubby rewarded Parker for his efforts/success even though he was happy to assist without it. I spent part of my day searching for a “seal a meal” system that Lauren dropped off on its way to Kim’s. She and I have both looked for it for a couple weeks with no success. I polled Renee and Kristen as a last ditch effort. Turns out, one of us left it at Renee’s house during the hand off; it’s in Jamie’s office. Mystery solved. I helped hubby put the kitchen back together. Otherwise, it has a been chilly and rainy day and we had no ambition. We took advantage of being cooped up and did little. Hope your weekend is sunny. Stay safe. Thanks for your kind party comments. “The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water.” - JOHN W.
