Moon Mosaic

I am now absolutely sure that I have dust on my sensor...so until it is properly cleaned (all hints gratefully received, but I have tried the brush and the puffer blowy thing - swabs on order) there will be limited images of the sun.

Lesson learned. I will NEVER leave my sensor uncovered for anything more than a few seconds EVER again.

Weirdly...in all the instruction manuals and intro's to digital photography, all those friends giving great advise on manual operation and apertures and shutters, those books you buy just to give you a heads up, nowhere in those first few pages or not one of those people ever feels to mention "Seriously.... don't switch lens with the power on cos the static generated from an activated sensor attracts dust from miles".

I noticed the clouds clearing away though the wind was still gusting to above 7mph. I thought a quick few shots of the moon would be appropriate to lighten my mood from photographic depression.

And then with a few of the larger shots run through PsP to reduce brightness, increase sharpness and contrast and then creation of the mosaic.

I hope I got it right...
