Celebrating Mancil’s 18th Birthday
Hubby got his hair cut early this morning. He bought grocery staples for a group of nuns our parish supports. Their big food collection is this weekend. I cleaned the kitchen while waiting for my telehealth visit with my GP. All’s well; I’ll have a quarterly in office visit in January. I guess insurance requires periodic visits to continue covering medications. Kim asked me to make the vegetable tray for tonight’s birthday party. I like those easy jobs. While hubby worked on more of his yard machines, I brought down all the XEROX boxes I use to collect Christmas gifts and separated everything so I can see what I have and what else I need. I have such a hard time on men’s stocking stuffers. We took a break after lunch until it was time for hubby to pick up my mother for the party. As usual, most of our gang attended. We had Taco Tuesday on Thursday, Mancil’s choice. It was truly a lot of fun. It is 10:46 pm and we are just heading home. Glad we only live 15 minutes away. It’s a long weekend for most folks; we will be remembering our veterans this weekend. I hope you have fun plans as well. Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe. “I grew up knowing that the celebration times in life were meant to be with your family, and I've always held with that.” -Jodi Picoult
