Trying to figure out which camera is best for Jr to take on holiday, so playing about a bit.

The Nikon which takes normal batteries, or the newer one with a rechargeable?

He took the old Nikon to Peru 3 years ago (nowhere to recharge up the Andes or down in the Amazon). That won't be a problem where he's going in Thailand, of course.

Spoiled myself over dinner since it had been a cool, wet waste of a day. A simple omelette, but everything in it (eggs, onion, garlic, parsley) comes from within 10 miles. 10 yards, in the case of the parsley.

The tomatoes & mozzarella are more exotic, but the basil is from the greenhouse. Wanted lots of colours. Potatoes from the other side of the hill too.

Thoughts of cameras during the day turned into this earworm.
