Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

I watched a bit of the hoo-ha at Parliament, sorry, The King's Speech. Fascinating, as always. We had a guided tour of Parliament many years ago, and I'd love to go again sometime.

When JR came home and had her breakfasts, we all decided to take a walk in the Hermitage, it being such a lovely day. And I haven't been for absolutely ages.
So I drove down and met the others at the Duck Pond. It was glorious one, side, the side with all the benches, was bathed in warm sunshine.

We walked on up the hill and then through the space in the wall, and down through the forest. Magical! The path was hard and dry - no mud - covered in crispy crunchy autumn leaves.

I decided to quit while I was ahead, and cut back across the paddock, while the others walked on to the end and then back.

I then spent the rest of the afternoon snoozing relaxing, in between making holiday enquiries...
