Went to Borrowdale this morning and did a walk from Rosthwaite along the river to start with and then through some woods to Grange.  Will be interesting to see what Misty's legs are like later as the footpath was stones and rocks for most of the walk.  Just as we were nearly back at the car we came across a dog unfriendly stile!  There was a gate further along which was locked.  Tried to get Misty over the stile but she wasn't having any of it and would not let me lift her.  A couple of guys managed to move a piece of wood and Misty just about managed to squeeze through.  Yes they put the wood back!  So frustrating when you are near the end of a walk to come across one of these!  At least I know not to do that walk again.  Oh and for those of you who like postcards, see extras.  The colours are still looking fantastic.  Oh and the main blip is the path leading to the village of Rosthwaite and you might spot a chicken too.
