Double Trouble ...
Another busy day.
Last night's cow that was thinking of calving was running off with a calf trailing on behind her,so left her to it. Last night she was charging at the bike so she was left to get on with it !
Loaded up the 2 heifers and 1 bullock for the mart, collected the terrier and Littlemiss and headed off to St Boswells.
As we passed the big layby at Earlston the police and commissioners were out in force, but luckily they didn't pull me in. I would have been OK today anyway as only had 3 in the trailer.
Dropped them off and headed for the wash bay to hose out the trailer. The lassie washing out next to me also had a terrier copilot. Littlemiss managed to get this shot of them checking each other out.
A quick feed in the canteen then headed back up the road for home.
Next job was to bring in my spring calving cows to give their calves their first pneumonia vaccine Jag. They were a bit reluctant to go into the crush, but we got there eventually.
I wish they would leave the clocks alone,it was getting dark by 5pm. You can't make the day any longer than it is !
The auctioneer phoned with today's cattle prices. They had sold quite well, but it's all needed.
