Once upon a time…

…there was a "dirty old man" selling Newspapers in Carlisle.  He was prone to YELLING - "There's nut many left now; there's only one or two left!" with a pile on the ground, out of immediate sight.  I feel a bit that way with the old £1 coins.
Once upon a time I could have gone a    L.  O.  N.  G.    way through the month on £1, or even £2 or 50P pieces - BUT - that is not the object of the exercise.  These remaining few (I do have some more but not to hand) represent two from, as I comically insist on calling it, "The Isle of Manx", two from Wales; calling to mind A. S. G. with his annual "Roll call"; alas no more and two of "ours". A S G's last Blip.  I wonder how Poppy's keeping?
